need update hardware >_>

new stuff? :
· the usual updates in the chara-section.

Heh, some update about yesterday's odysee.
Thanks to Alcohol (51%) I managed to remount the image and install the whole thing finally. The music is nice.

Thing is, as soon as I start the game or staffroll, it collapses and vanishs.

I'll give it a last chance by updating the drivers, but as Ryna as well as Arislan in the FAQ mentioned to me yesterday, the GeForce 256 used in this PC might be a bit too old for DirectX9... Anyway. I'll see if I get a GeForce3 or compareable thing for free or super-cheap. Unless that happens, I'll enjoy the OGG-files and forget about the whole thing.

hmmmm...

new stuff? :
· plugged a new link.
· the usual updates in the chara-section.

Sitting here, nipping on my capucchino, I'm reading through Josh. Lesnicks latest works. Makes me giggle. It's so cute, yet so deep. Reminds me to some year ago... Well, at least Eliza-chan is happy again. *smiles*

Here you go, read it from the start mind you.

Besides that, I downloaded PSO BB (the cdi.file) yesterday. It needed 1 hour to get it and in the end (after 2 hours) I uploaded about twice of its size.
Today, the fiddling began, after being allowed to screw this PC.

IME, works.
WinRAR, works.
Daemon Tools, works.
Mounting the file, works.
Installing, works. - yet a freeze. Whyever. Next time I'll leave the system on its own >_>

So, its back up, but fails to load Win98SE properly. Gah, securemode. Deinstall Daemon. It loads.
Reinstall, doesnt work, deinstall, it works, reinstall, again, doesnt work... geeh, prolly some dll broken or whatever.

I change plan, want to burn the CDI file... no go. Nero doesnt know what to do with it. This Diskjuggler isnt recognizing my writer ... nya...

Current plan : installment on hold, until the Demo is downloadable.

fixing the loose

some new stuff? :
· the usual updates in the chara-section.

Whew, long time no new babbles. You people are ripe to get some senseless chatter dumped on you by now, i suppose.

I had a talk about controllers these days and got told the story of a guy who opens a new pad and oils it to make it last 15 more years. Hm... made me think. My ASCII was malfunctioning again, so I opened it and where I was at it, I put some Bicyclechain-oil at the 3D-stick's part while cleaning it with some Q-sticks. Voila - works like brandnew again, and I'm really happy and proud of that.

Besides that, only one side-quest left - finding an Imperial Pick and I'm done, since I got a Yasu2k yesterday. Thanks, Aura. What's left to do in this game? Hm, scoring a bunch of Ep2-S-Ranks I suppose.

In those lines we had a very neat 2c4-run as well - RenaMS has a nifty new best time for that stage now and finally I can put it in as one single time on my PSOW profile, heh.

Privately, its music time. R-Mom got a CD-A for cheap - 'Simon and Garfunkels greatest hits'. Heh, really... all those old stuff I heard when I was little and at friends places (at home we never heard western/imperialist stuff at all *shrugs* - maybe thats why I'm that fascinated by 80ies movies and music... and Robert Redford).

I also got hold of an MD-player so I could listen to my old MDs again on my walks... and I have to walk a lot these days. Ah... 'Judy & Mary', 'the Brilliant Green', Hirazawa Susumu's awesome Berserk score, Tennimon-OST... all the good stuff...

Got a bunch of ''new'' DC-games as well... Rei Raising Project anyone? Funny game, I didnt advance far, because a savegame needs 175 blocks (an empty VMU has only 200 free blocks), wow o_O. But it's fun, decorating her empty room, buying her new clothes, making her learn words. But a bit boring after a while...

The NGE-typing game is more fun, but wow, I need to read Hiragana and type them immediately in either Hepburn or Romaji-system (I'm glad I could set the option to Hepburn, since I'm used to type 'tsu' instead of 'tu' for example). Funny lesson-game nonetheless.

What else? A bunch of shooters and I love shooters.

Besides that, life goes on I guess. I'm planning something for Aura's subsite and got the raw material by now so stay tuned for... uh... something. ^_^;

so yeah Log: #0081 - [2004-05-11]

90 days -3

some new stuff? :
· a couple of snaps got added.

Sega offers a 90 day HL these days. Thats a nice thing but comes a bit too late. Well, however, I bought one, so I have an active HL due somewhen in August. Things are still pretty vague, but my way of decisions to get back on track is going on well. Ganbarimasuyone.

Besides this, its simply a lie to say PSO would be boring.
I had some fun in full JP games bringing my two new temp chars through 1c1, 1c2 and even 2c1. Neat neat.

Furthermore Shinobu finally reached her goal and the Electro Frame doesnt look as bad as I expected on her. To be precise, it actually looks pretty good. It now has 4 Slots and is in use, although the Luminous Field Shinobu wore before, is better in stats. Only thing left is a Yasminkov 2000H for her, and she's back to her old self (besides the fact that she'd need 30 more levels)

Tetsu-ko retired. Outside of our tries to beat 2C4, we hardly knew eachother. Well, but he knew with Ryna and dumped a lot of stuff before leaving for sure. Ryna then invited me to look through it.
Most of the stuff seemed legit but also got enhanced by Photon Spheres (who're obviously not legit). Well, I grabbed some stuff and its now rotting in the bank. I yet have to think about this and that and prolly will use it, but it will be marked as Tetsu-ko's heritage in my databank.

mothers day

Strange day, at least for me.

I went eating some Icecream with my ''R-mom'' and her children. It was a fun day, although a bit cold, especially on the way back when your belly has to handle low temperatures from both inside and outside.

Then, on the other side, there was my mother. I dunno exactly what drew me, but I dropped her a red carnation into her postbox.

Later I had a deep discussion with my ''step-sister'', which is my best friend, about this thing. I mean... I hope my mother doesnt interprete too much into it. She prolly dumped it anyway...

whats the story, morning glory

new stuff? :
· Aura's 16 new snaps got added.

hm, PSO-wise, nothing happened since last time.

Friend brought a bunch of Dreamcast games from his friends and let me have them for a while. There is some neat stuff in that pile of disks, really.

Let's begin with Rez, which is still an awesome game. I spent most of the weekend unlocking everything. Only the different Beam-Options are still to be unlocked on this version. Yay me.

After that, I tried 'Justice League' which is also called 'Justice Gakuen'. A Capcom 3D-Fighting Game with lots of clichee-pupils. Quite fun, but also quite difficult. I wouldnt have spent money for it though.

'Dead or Alive 2 CE' which is the japanese collectors edition with more costumes than the domestic DoA2 version for DC. I think the PS2 version (the european one that is) still has some more costumes and 2 more areas but oh well, who cares. I really like Kasumi's 7th costume - the golden-white goddess outfit. Really neat.
And yes, I spent some hours unlocking them as well. Still to go. Jann Lee looks awesome in Suit and Tie.

Furthermore I played some graphic novel game called 'Milk' or actually 'kizuato'. It has some mature content but it was interesting in both checking how the choices affect the gameline (since I never played this kind of game before) as well as a reading&understanding kanji test.
Besides that, nothing past the usual since it as well ties the usual images together with the clichee characters and a kinda disturbing up to boring story.

And last but not least: 'Sakura Taisen 4' Awesome game, graphically as well as gameplay wise. I really like strategy RPGs and another interesting point is again the reading test as well as picking the right choices under a timelimit.
Furthermore I really like Fujishima Kosuke's artworks and seeing how different the the personalities speak is really intersting as well.
I'm curious how the story goes on as well as which of the girls likes me the most at the end of the game *laughs*

We also killed some time watching movies:
First of, 'Returner'. Friend of mine was actually in Japan when this movie got shown in the Cinemas over there. So he easily attached to it and got it from the Video Rental Shop.
The german DVD is very well done - has japanese, english as well as a very good german dub. The bonus material yet has to be checked out.

The movie itself is very good. I've never seen so wellhidden as well as wellthought CGI-special effects actually. Very well done. The story is entertaining as well, the actors are what they supposed to be (Takeshi Kaneshiro is awesome, Anne Suzuki is both cool and cute, Goro Kishitani is scary as well as cool).
Before I seize this movie even more, I'll end it here - go watch it, you wont regret it. Awesome japanese cinema at its best.

My R-Mom bought the 3 DVD-Box of 'Back to the Future' since she is a big fan of the movies (and she got them up to 15 bucks cheaper on amazon which is nice). So we all watched them in one sitting since I was invited too.
What to say, those movies are true classics as both Sci-Fi as well as Comedy-Movies.
Only thing is that the second movie is a bit weak. It not only has a little plot hole, but also an error. Marthy buys a Sports-Almanach in the future. 1955-2000. Back in 1985, it's still is 1955-2000. But back in 1955, it's a 1950-2000 book all of a sudden. Well... *shrugs* can be tollerated. Still, awesome movies, whereas the middlepart obviously suffers the usual triology issues of being the... well... middlepart.

Alien got aired on TV. Whats best than to put in the VHS of it without commercials? Right. So we did and watched Alien as well as Aliens. Oh, my two favourite parts of that Quadrology. The 9-Disk Collectors Box really is interesing, but quite pricy... Well, maybe in the near future.
