um... :
· hey um... added a few links to webcomics in the link-section, go check them out!!

so...

First of, again, congratulations, Aura. ^-^
I hope you like the hammer and Rynas Knuckles and anything else you got.

What else... hum.

Ah!
Yeah!
Plugging some Webcomics lately. And not the wellknown stuff, but those little things I personally like to read.

We'd have Wapsy Square there. It has a cute style, the developement is pretty good and I just love the Character Katherine, she instantly reminded me to japanese horrormovies ('ju-on' or 'ringu'), heh ^-^

Then we have 'mondo mecho', which I added a bit earlier. Interesting set-up, especially for me as Shirow-fan. Good writing, interesting style and the other comics by that person are a good read too.

Last but not least, one of my very first ones: the adventures of bobbin. Singaporean, as some may know from the school-uniform. What to say... I still read it on a regular basis. I think getting informed when there's an update helped as well. *shrugs* *laughs*

Alright, so I quit PSO for a while. Officially yesterday. Those that I didnt say a direct 'good bye' because I didnt have their card or they werent on or something else, well, if you read this, feel good bye'd.

Besides this, Cinema-time.

'Day after Tomorrow'. Uh... I really dont like Roland Emmerich movies, especially since he raped the Godzilla brand with his lower than average CGI-orgy. His last 'masterpiece' jumps into the same pit. Good thing first? The effects are awesome. Top notch. Bad thing. The plot is lowest junk. The characters are 1-dimensional stereotypes. The actors play like puppets on a string and could have been replaced by Keanu Reeves or Scarecrows anyday.
The first half is nice, the freezeeffects and everything else is nice, you just gotta have to blend out all the silly monologues (yeah, even though multiple peoples are speaking, everyone is just doing a monologue that has nothing to do with the corresponding person, since there is none. god bless america).

Then a german movie which you'll prolly never see - Bully Herbig's latest movie "(T)raumschiff Surprise: Periode 1". Well, heh, what to say. Funny movie, good humour (at least nothing from down the gutter like most 'supposed to be funny' movies). Seeing as every written text is in english, there is a slight chance that it gets at least on DVD or something in an english version. Worth a try)

Today then, Fahrenheit 9/11. I dont think i need to link a picture. We'll see.

So, take care.

darn, its hot. at least the wind is not that strong anymore... Log: #0093 - [2004-07-17]

woot?

should I ask?... :
· better not

Lets plug something first: I came across this wonderful webcomic lately. Nice Story, very nice Art and fans of early Shirow-Works are like long lost siblings to me. Nah, not quite that much but hey, I kinda started into the world of Manga with Appleseed and Ghost in the Shell (not the Movie, that came later).

So, here it is: Mondo Mecho. Its a lil bit rip-off here and there, but a fun read. Enjoy.

Besides this, well, nothing much. Here a little exxagerated... or is it exaggerated? I have no real urge to check that up right now... documentation of what I'm doing these days - besides learning senseless stuff and using pencil/paper a whole lot more than ever before.

Huh, I had to fix that pic up a lil bit, using MS-Paint, heh. Tom's Head was kinda too long/eggshaped in the beginning so I had to move his arm a bit higher.

If you wonder, this is cooperation mode of the first level. It's fun in hard-setting, and I think its because of the fact that I spent several hours trying the first part perfectly, that I always draw parts of it.

By the way, if you happen to try it too and the sniper that appears once you're walking over the wooden plates to get the mines annoys you, try to walk forward between the first room with the mines and the second one with the guard, until the sniper's window is right over the wooden plate - like this your body is shielded and you can take all the time you want for a nice clean headshot.

We... will... prolly go watch this catastrophe-movie finally later today or tomorrow. Not sure yet but if someone's urging for mindless destroying - or at least watching said action - then we shouldnt hold that back. I for my part just hope, the story isnt killing the effects in this one...

If you feel that you have to talk to me or anything, dont hide behind false pride, mail me.
Remember, its your turn.

sayonara! Log: #0092 - [2004-07-13]

heh, so it finally happened

new stuff? pweese? :
· updated Aura's Corner with 7 snaps.
· broke the rants up into actual, June and May.

I really like the hair.

So I was focusing on C-Mode, wasnt I? C-Mode being just a part of PSO its very timeconsuming. I mean, attempting a stage with random strangers, prolly people who's language you cant understand or even worse, who dont understand you although you can see what their question is.

Besides that, my only goal was leveling Kanti, but this is kinda solved now. Beating Seabed with just Charge Vulcs (50hit) and a Raygun (30hit), with just relying on MAG-SD... no, make that wandering easily through Seabed and kissing Olga good night after pumping not even 10k of Meseta into him made the quest for getting a Zalure Srank for Kanti kinda meaningless.

I just didnt have any real fun leveling him anymore and seeing as HUct are the most fun chars to level, this is a bad sign for real.

So hopping on last week to get some darn 2C3, 2C4 or 2C5 done I finally realized that either:

-I'm speaking very cryptic when I'm explaining things (I just wonder why those two are the only two who ever had issues with that) or

-some people either lack brains or social skills to ask back or gaming skill or pure interest to NOT be a deadweight.

To sum it up, after trying to understand what the hell went wrong and getting a snotty 'I just tried to help' which basically means 'its your fault for asking me in the first place since I'm obviously too incompetent to claim that I didnt get anything you told me twice before we started and additionally to that I didnt knew what to do during the whole 20 Minutes of Gal Gryphon battle, neither did I develope any kind of strategy and wasted a handful dolls, embarassed myself and my teammate infront of the japanese players and now shut up, I'm trying to ignore my own idiocy, wont learn shit from what happened and dont want you to remind me how braindead I am' I kinda stepped on 'hold' to recapitulate what the fuck just happened.

Oh noes! She is still on that thing? No, I'm not. Not really. It was just sitting there, waiting to get typed down.

Things you might want to keep in mind, if you can do such things, for when thinking about the whole thing:

-I'm not a 'ah well, lets forget everything, it was noone's fault etc blabla'-person.

-I like to solve problems, not to hide them under the bed to settle dust but still being there.

So basically instead of just ignoring what happened and going on with my ridiculous quest of getting all the dumb chars through something that requires a gathering of four people with a brain, skill, knowledge of what to do as well as the right attitude, I think I quit PSO completely.

Why?
Well, it started to annoy the shit outa me.

In no way I gonna sit there for ages, looking at the screen where white squares which're supposed to be readable Kanji indicate some cryptic encyphered stage-description that I cant look up because I cant count the darn strokes used for said Kanji.

In no way I gonna open a game and idle there for more than two hours each time, just because some morons hunting first S-Ranks with literally no preparation for the stage ruined the name of G, E, whatever left players. This doesnt just go against GEFS players, this goes against J players as well.
What the hell is the matter with two RA joining a game? You actually planned to be a slowdown annoyance? Whats the matter of not being able to learn how to evade simple stuff as Olga first form's dumb swipe? Wasnt there the HP requirement of 200 on your guide? Didnt you bother to look up Boss strategies where Gal Gryphon as well as the Gol Dragon should have had taught you the importance of knowing patterns as well as counteractions in Ep2 C-Mode?

In the end, no, this isnt "just" a game. This is wasting your time and whats incredibly worse, my time. It's wasting everyone's money and sanity.
If youre too incompetent to play C-Mode, stick to normal gameplay.
Stick to something you actually can handle or continue whining about 'ahh my 130 HUnl got killed in offline Ruins. Its too damn hard'. No, it isnt. Youre just too incompetent to handle such easy stuff as Ruins.
Yeah, easy I said. Everything a HUct at level 98 with just Charge Vulcans from Shop (50hit), a found Raygun with 30hit and the trusty S-Rank Sword with no special can handle solely relying on MAG-SD simply IS infact easy. Especially for a 130 HUnl who has all supportive techs at hand and by far enough HP to laugh at Belras (granted, not at online Death Bringers but come on, its not a matter of enduring a 1400 blast, its a matter of evading) and other stuff.

So, since my interest in BB, in PSU, hell, even in Ep3 or this new wacky release of PSO+ in the US is really low, it was just a matter of consequences and/or triggering experiences to set this action off.

Something to add? Ah yeah, I kinda miss you guys already... Will, Ami, Raz, Aura, Kim, even Curry and some more peeps, but its simply not paying off, shelling out that much cash just for seeing people I could have mail contact with for free. I'm sorry if that sounds harsh but first of I have to cut my expenses and then again, come on, how much did we play with each other? Its nothing that AIM or e-Mail couldn't compensate.

So, a conclusion.

Here a lil doodle from a few weeks ago, which basically indicates, what my Cube has to handle these days. Whoever guesses the game played, gets... nothing.
You really aren't expecting a medal for that, I hope.

What else to expect from this site?
Well, I still have a couple of Aura's Snapshots to upload which I'll prolly do later today. Furthermore I'm pretty sure there are more in the pipeline. Too bad I dont see any sense of setting up the Aura-gallery that was in plan anymore. But gotta live with that, I guess.

A last serversiden Check up, then most likely nothing much from my part except a random note in this section here, depending on if Aura or anyone else sends over new stuff.

Be ensured, I wont be pulling a Sou here and shut this site down completely. Why should I. It's also partly your people's site - namingly Aura and Raz, if he ever has some free time to send stuff over.

However, due end of September, this site will most likely be offline. This is a matter of fact by now... well, its 90% possible.

So, basically moving on, I beat a couple of TS2-stages on hard, and am only 2 chars away from having the full cast - and 6 Silver-cups waiting to be turned into Gold-cups as well as 4 more Stages left to be solved which will be hell.
Current Clearance Percentage: 93,6%.

Besides that and learning incredible ammounts of junk for the exams, I went to the cinema to watch Shrek 2.
Well, to sum it up into one marky sentence: ''incredibly funny, but has some lenghts.'' or... ''I really didnt regret the ticket money and I laughed most of the time but I still prefer the first part since it has a more round up story." Ok ok, last sentence wasn't that marky (whatever 'marky' could possibly mean).
So... I'd say, go watch it, its definitely worth it. Most jokes arent for preteens since they simply dont get them so I'd give this movie a PG12 rating.

Btw - if you feel that you have to talk to me or anything, dont hide behind false pride, mail me.

Alright, slightly over 1 year by now. My, how things changed in that time. Hm... well, actually I dont really care anniversaries that much... to be honest, I hate them >_> time goes by alright, no need to remember that fact.

Huh, besides that... well... dunno. I was supposed to do seperate pages for May and June today, but well... seems that this will have to wait till thursday.

Yupp indeed, long time no see...
Long time no news here.

These days I actually plan on beating ep2-cmode with as many chars as possible...
Besides that, lacking any item-goals, my aim is to bring Kanti as high as possible without directly powerleveling him. Assisting is the trick, although everyone seems to be into low levels lately. Fine with me, FRO could need that, and once they're in ult, they'll need some strong HUcts power to plow through stuff like hot butter through a knife... or... the other way around *shrugs*.

With movies, its difficult these days...

Lotta crap on TV, but thats no news...

I feel the urge to continue watching Haibane Renmei which I stopped after Episode 6 because of... well, because I needed something to cheer me up. Maybe I should dig out the old 17 Episodes of Kodocha I have. Hm hmhmh... my Omocha Hammer is fun to play with, as Kanti, btw...

Hm, off topic again...

Out of sheer boredom I watched 'Dudley DoRight' with Brendan Frasier recently, and omg... if it werent for him and Eric Idle... I dunno... silly movie... Although lots of working jokes in there once one catches the mood.

Alright, I need to google that other movie out, but I dont have a clue how it was called >_<...

This one guy who played the Horseman in Sleepy Hollow played in it - ah... Christopher Walken (really good actor, although a bit scary - I like that kinda disturbing video where he dances)

Ah and there we have it. The name's ''Plots with a view''. A pretty silly, cute, romantic and morbid movie. I bet it's nothing to watch alone unless you like being the only one to laugh, but then again, maybe you like that *shrugs*. Anyway, this movie is in no way a masterpiece or mindboggling but as I mentioned before, that doesnt make it bad - its a cute little romantic story with some slapstick and a lil bit dance. Worth a watch.

On a sidenote, the villian from 'Dudley DoRight' plays the Hero in this movie. Weird World *laughs*

Today morning I had the chance to watch ''Anne mit den roten Haaren'' again, which basically is a World Masterpiece Theater-Anime by Ghibli/Zuiyo/Nippon Animation and originally named ''Akage no Ann'' after some ancient Book called ''Anne of Greengables''.

To sum it up, its a really old Anime from the days where Ghibli could allow themselfes to make really highclass series without having to rely on Fanservice or cheap animation or dumb status-quo stories. Its a shame that the WMT-series had to be cancelled later on.

But well, lots of WMT series are there, and being old doesnt make them bad. Anne was, as I noticed today, like a rolemodel for me:
Being an outcast in school because of her red hair, she doesnt have many friends and lives in her own little dreamworld. Thus she collides with the society's view of things and has some trouble to overcome. But since she's pretty tough and doesnt give in easily, she survives every struggle.

I remember that watching Anime always brought me to some sort of good mood when I was a child... good mood definitely helped on surviving school, I'd say. Nah, never mind.

Some of you know that already but... I kinda ticked out for a second when I - out of sheer boredom - frequented Nintendo's german page just to see a Logo for Animal Crossing pop into my sight. I went like... uh... wrong site? Well... a bit exploring later I found out that Animal Crossing (aka dobutsu no mori) get released in Europe on September 27th... heh...
Way to go, Nintendo... youre surprising me once again... this game is how old by now? I even struggled to buy an US cube once to get it... but now its too late, dear people of NOE. I personally simply lack time to play this game...

Right now, I'd even go as far as to say, they better had never released it in Europe. Now this, 2 or so years after the US release and around one and a half year after a PAL Australian release, I'd consider this game hitting Europe as a swift kick to the face, thank you very much.

One last note...

Housoka.com is down. yeah, its since a while, I know.
I was a bit sorry to see that, Sounomi, and I partly understand, and partly dont understand it. Why not keeping it up? The PSO part was unique. Just because you dont have any interest in it, why not keeping it up anyway for the others... Nah, dont mind my babble, its your decision and I respect that. Its just that ... it's a lil bit sad, thats all.
